November 2011 will go down as the biggest month in gaming this year. Skyrim, Assassin’s Creed Revelations, Uncharted 3, Modern Warfare 3, and countless other high-profile releases mean that your bank account will be begging for mercy. But if a new leak from UK retailer Shop.to is to be believed, the Playstation Vita also has a November release date; November 4th to be precise.
Sony does not officially PlayStation Vita ensure the availability schedule, but some online stores have opened bookings for the console that can be obtained beginning November 2011.
A release date of November 4 could be a strong strategic move by Sony – especially at the competitive price point of $249 (US). It would allow early adopters to spend their cash on the Vita before the release of several anticipated holiday titles, giving Sony a slight edge out of the starting gate. However, as Gamespot points out, there are some inconsistencies with Shop.to’s Vita listing, not least of which is the launch lineup itself. Bioshock, Uncharted, Ruin, Resistance, Killzone, LittleBigPlanet, and several more are all listed for release on November 4th, which seems highly unlikely.
Vita Sony PlayStation was officially introduced as the successor to the PlayStation Portable. The console formerly known as the Next Generation Portable (NGP) was promised a series of compelling features.
