Kercher family still cannot forgive her murder

PERUGIA, Italy - The loved ones of murdered British student Meredith Kercher nonetheless finds it difficult to forgive her murder, her brother and sister said on Monday, just hours prior to an expected verdict in an appeal by American student Amanda Knox.

"It's tough to talk of forgiveness at the moment. 4 years is often a very long time but on the other hand, it's not and it is still incredibly, pretty raw," Lyle Kercher told a news conference.

The Kercher household has maintained a reasonably low profile with what has grow to be a world media sensation, in particular in contrast to the huge pr campaign mounted by Knox's family members.

"Mez (Meredith) have been virtually forgotten in any of the," her sister Stephanie Kercher stated.

Knox and her former Italian boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito are appealing against their 2009 convictions to the murder of Kercher, who had previously been discovered back with her throat slit along with various stab wounds within the Perugia apartment she shared with Knox.

Lyle said his loved ones had attempted to maintain its dignity and were putting their faith within the capability in the court to preserve its objectivity within the face of what received into "a huge PR machine".

"Forgiveness doesn't enter into it in the moment. Without one final ending to every thing, it's going to be troublesome to forgive anything at this point," Stephanie said.

"What everyone demands to don't forget, will be the brutality of the items actually occurred that night and every thing that Meredith should have felt that night. Every thing she went by way of, driving a vehicle, the terror and never knowing why. She did not deserve that, no-one deserves that, she loved this location," she said.
