The ECO is based on the 2013 Malibu sedan, which will be sold in nearly 100 countries on six continents. Sales of the new Malibu begin with the ECO model in the United States in early 2012. The Malibu LS, LT and LTZ trim level offerings join the ECO in summer 2012. Pricing hasn’t been announced.
The 2013 Malibu will be coming into its own with a wide range of fuel-efficient and powerful four-cylinder engines, along with six-speed transmissions to help that speed along efficiently.
We’ll get back with more details on the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu as soon as the curtains lift on April 18th.

UPDATE 04/14/11: We don’t know if this was an intentional marketing ploy by General Motors, but whatever their intentions are, we certainly aren’t complaining. Spotted on GM’s own website is a leaked photo of the 2013 Chevrolet Malibu. It’s only one photo, but at least we get a good idea as to what the car looks like. Check it out and see if was anywhere near what you thought it would be.
