Kaohsiung National Stadium

Kaohsiung National Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium in Kaohsiung, Taiwan. It is currently the largest stadium capacity in Taiwan with 55,000 seats and 40,000 seat expansion of the regular. This place finish in 2009 which will be used primarily for athletics and rugby, including hosting the main event of World Games 2009.

After the game the stadium will likely be used to match some of the football team of Taiwan. Satadion designed by Japanese architect Toyo Ito is named, to provide power, this stadium harness solar energy. World Games Stadium, semi-spiral shaped, like a dragon's tail, where it will be the first stadium in the world to provide electricity using solar energy.

The solar panels will cover the external face of the vast stadium capable of producing most of the power required to operate its own, as well as additional resources that can be stored. The stadium has a roof of 14.115 square meters and utilizing approximately 1.4 gigawatt hours of electricity each year. The coolest part of this stadium is that when the stadium is not used, 80% of the neighborhood around the stadium can also be activated via the electricity generated by the stadium on days when not being used.
